Terms of Service

By creating an account, completing checkout, installing the connector, or using Tap Route, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use Tap Route for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

Tap Route connects durable NFC or QR links to customer-selected web destinations and can use presentation state to change the active destination. The customer remains responsible for its tags, QR codes, destination pages, presentation content, network, computers, and event operations.

You must provide accurate account and billing information, protect sign-in and connector credentials, and promptly remove users or computers that should no longer have access. You are responsible for activity under your workspace except to the extent caused by Tap Route's breach of these Terms.

Workspace roles and plan limits control who may view or change routes, campuses, presentation areas, connectors, members, and billing. You may not bypass those controls or share machine credentials between unrelated devices.

Tap Route plans are paid recurring subscriptions. The plan, billing interval, price, currency, taxes, and next billing date shown in Stripe Checkout or the billing portal are the terms for that purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.

Pilot customers use the same paid subscription and checkout pricing. Pilot participation begins with paid checkout; no separate pilot price applies unless it is agreed in writing before checkout.

Plan features and limits may change prospectively. We will not change the price of a current paid period after it begins. Any renewal price change will be disclosed as required by law.

You retain rights to the URLs, labels, organization names, and other content you submit. You grant Tap Route a limited license to store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

You may not use Tap Route to:

• break the law or violate another person's rights;
• route to malware, phishing, deceptive, or harmful content;
• collect sensitive information without proper notice and authority;
• probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security;
• resell access or impersonate another organization without permission; or
• interfere with another customer's workspace, routes, or analytics.

We may disable a destination, connector, public route, or workspace when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

During an active subscription, Tap Route grants you a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable right to use the hosted service and connector for your authorized workspace. Tap Route and its licensors retain all rights in the software, design, documentation, branding, and service improvements.

The connector may offer updates. You are responsible for using a supported version and testing an update before relying on it in a live event.

Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. Tap Route also relies on services such as Clerk, Stripe, Vercel, Neon, Upstash, operating-system services, ProPresenter, and customer-selected destination sites. Their terms and availability may also affect your use.

You are responsible for giving visitors any notices and obtaining any consent required for the destination pages and forms you choose.

Internet, local-network, presentation-software, operating-system, and provider failures can interrupt live routing. Tap Route is designed to use a saved fallback when a live route or connector is unavailable, but you must configure and test that fallback before each event. Do not use Tap Route for emergency, life-safety, medical, or other safety-critical routing.

We may perform maintenance or make changes needed for security, reliability, legal compliance, or product improvement. When practical, we will communicate material planned interruptions.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tap Route is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, or uninterrupted operation. Nothing here excludes warranties or rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tap Route will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost revenue, donations, data, goodwill, or event opportunities. Tap Route's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Tap Route during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where the law prohibits them.

You may cancel as described in the cancellation policy. We may suspend or terminate access for nonpayment, material breach, security risk, unlawful use, or harm to the service or others. When access ends, public routes may be limited to the saved fallback and workspace data may be deleted after the stated retention window.

We may update these Terms. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
